Congresbury Youth Partnership are having an apple pressing day at Barleywood Orchard on Nov 1st, when we are hoping to show young people how the popular apple juice we sell every Christmas is actually made.  We’ll be using apples from the Community Orchard at the Millennium Green, but despite our wassailing efforts in January, the crop there is not enough for our needs.  If anyone has surplus eating apples, we would be very glad to receive them to add to our stocks.  They can be delivered to us as soon as they are ripe (no need to wait until Nov 1st) at any time the Youth Club is open, or by arrangement with Alex Ballard,  01934 853201  cidercot.alex@gmail.com   Barleywood Orchard are also interested in receiving your surplus cider apples, as long as they are gathered separately, and clearly marked as for cider.
