CRAG comments on recent planning applications
Congresbury Residents Action Group (CRAG) is helping to raise awareness of two recent planning applications – one of which has long-term implications for the village.
The plan for a two-storey medical centre on land opposite the Bird of Prey Centre in Smallway, is from local doctors, and if successful would replace the current surgeries in Congresbury and Yatton.
Said CRAG secretary Viv Tomkinson : “We recognise that there will be a variety of views about the proposal for the new medical centre and consequently it would be inappropriate for CRAG to seek to represent the views of the village on this application.”
So CRAG has written to its supporters giving details of the application so they can comment if they wish. The application can be found on the NSC Planning website reference 17/P/5592/FUL.
The second, belated application, is for a large advertising sign to market the housing development behind Venus Street. Comments about the sign, erected by Strongvox on land off Brinsea Road, can be made on the NSC website under reference 18/P/2621/ADV
