My name is Immy Treasure-Smith and I have lived in Congresbury all my life. I have just finished 6th form at Churchill Academy and I am planning to volunteer for VSO for three months from Autumn 2018.
I have to raise £1,500 for VSO to be accepted and I will be doing this by working as many shifts as possible as a waitress and organising local fundraising events.

Pub Quiz at The Plough , Congresbury, Sunday 26th August 8.00pm

‘CREAM TEA’ ’ at Congresbury Methodist Church Hall on Saturday 8th September 3.00-5.00pm

I’ll be giving out free packets of SMARTIES wherever I can to firstly enjoy and then hopefully they can be filled with spare 20p’s and popped through the letter box of Willowmead, 27 Street, Congresbury, BS495EY.

If you want to donate to my ‘Just Giving Page’ go to and go to the search bar. Type in Immy Treasure-Smith and my page should appear.

I will be working for three months in Kenya. I have been posted to the community of LoitoKitok in Masaai country near the Tanzanian border. The project will involve me in teaching girls and teenage young women who are illiterate. This is the main cause of poverty in the region. I will aim to teach, support and inspire these girls to help them access education, vocational skills, employment and health services so they can break out of a long standing cycle of poverty. ( I can provide much more detailed information if anyone would like it).
Please don’t feel obliged in any way as I know how many demands there are to support charitable causes. However If you are interested or able to help me work on this really worthwhile project I am listing below the fundraising events I am organising in the near future.

I thank you so very much for your interest and support and I hope to do my very best in my work ahead in Africa.
