Congresbury Youth Partnership’s (CYP) annual awards which were due to happen in April were finally presented last week. The award winners, their families plus representatives from the various organisations that had nominated them were able to take part in an open-air celebration on the playing field in Congresbury.
CYP would like to thank the organisations who took part, Jo Williams and Keith Abbott for their help on the night and the Yeo Valley Lions for sponsoring the event.
It was also a sad evening saying farewell to two people who have been involved with CYP. Marie Broomfield is being assigned to another area and will no longer be our PCSO. She has become a very familiar face around the village and will be missed by all residents.
Sarah Storey has worked with young people in the village for the last 16 years providing advice, friendship and comfort to those in need of support. Initially she ran the Youth Club through the North Somerset Youth Service before joining CYP.
The CYP Management committee would like to thank her for her constant enthusiasm and commitment to our organisation. Fortunately, Sarah is not severing all links with CYP and has agreed to join the management group.
