Members of Congresbury senior citizen’s lunch club and their guests, enjoyed a Platinum Jubilee lunch on the 9th June. They were served an afternoon tea, with sandwiches, quiche, sausages rolls, cakes, and scones with jam and cream. After the meal there was entertainment with wartime songs and songs from the shows. Over 50 people enjoyed a free meal courtesy of a grant from St. Monica’s Trust. The lunch ended with a glass of Prosecco and a toast to the Queen and the singing of the National Anthem.
