Congresbury Singers

Activity
Small (34) friendly mixed voice SATB choir, with members from Congresbury and nearby villages
Details
We do not hold auditions – anyone can turn up at our weekly rehearsals on Tuesday evenings at 7.15pm at the War Memorial Hall.
There is no joining fee as such, if you’d like to join you have 2 free rehearsal sessions and then there are subs of £5 per week thereafter. There are 4 terms per year, which vary in length, but culminate in a formal concert either at the War Memorial Hall or St. Andrew’s Church – you only pay for the number of weeks/rehearsals in each term. Our Summer term begins on Tuesday 12th April and finishes with our concert on Tuesday 23rd June at War Memorial Hall.
Our next concert is Saturday 21st March at St. Andrews Church – 7pm for a 7.30pm start and comprises the elements of a classical Mass but each element is by a different composer, thereby demonstrating their individual depiction of a mass but also the flow and dynamism of a full mass! We think it’s a completely new and innovative approach to a Mass – compiled by our musical director, Jonathan Palmer.
